I have always been interested in the power of plants and it was the medicinal properties of plants that led me to my chosen career as a pharmacist. Plants and nature have been strong pulls for me since I was very small.
Nowadays, it's the experience of being out in nature, how nature affects our wellbeing and how we as humans interact with nature and our enviroments thats fascinates me
I work in mixed media using paints, inks, dyes, pencils, threads and collage on many different surfaces including paper, canvas and textiles and usually printing is involved.
My process is often intuitive where I respond to my enviroment whether that be in the local countryside, on my allotment or up at the North East coast.
